The Inevitable Transition of Seasons: Winter to Spring

Typically around this time of year us northerners, have no idea what to wear when we step out for the day. The mornings are chilly yet the sun creeps up on us as the day unfolds. Isn't that funny how the seasons bring about such beautiful yet unknown transitions. I've eagerly anticipated the arrival of spring for quite sometime. Don't get me wrong, I don't completely dislike winter, it's necessary for the winter season to take its course. It's kind of like life. The winter seasons of life tend to feel brutal and harsh, leaving us cold and numb. Spring tends to represent a time of renewal and beauty. Just like the spring seasons of our lives, winter seasons must also come to serve their purpose. There are many things to consider when you find yourself in this transition. One of the first things to consider is how you approach the winter season. Your approach to that winter season will predict the outcome and the harvest you'll see in the next. Approach has everything to do with your attitude, your thought process, your mindset, how you view yourself and how you view others. It's tough being positive in a season where you feel like absolutely nothing is working out for you. It must be a decision you make in your heart, that no matter what it looks like, your approach will remain consistent.Something else to consider is the fact that you're actually in a learning season. Yes, winter has its struggles but you're learning so much. Think about what you're now experiencing and how well equipped you will be when you get out of "this", because you will. Take notes, journal! Ahhh, journaling just makes me so happy. It has been one of the most therapeutic things I can do on a daily basis. It's all about perspective. When you change your perspective of how you're looking at your life when you're going through the winter season, you're opening your heart to becoming one filled with gratitude. Be grateful for even the little things. Spring will come, and when it does, you will be able to enjoy the beauty of the small details that you would have missed before.  Having a grateful heart trumps a cold one any day.One of the verses that sticks with me is Romans 8:28, it says that absolutely ALL things work together for the good of those who love HIM. Now, that's Bible. This means that absolutely everything in your life will be used to empower you, to be for the good, to push you and motivate you to move forward in life. God will never ever give you more than what you can handle. You got this boo!Now shifting gears a little bit, can we talk about this 3 dollar skirt I thrifted? Like I mentioned, it gets kind of tricky getting dressed up here and so here is a great transitional outfit option. I love it because the floral skirt is appropriate for the season but than I paired it with some fun velvet JUSTFAB booties to make it more weather friendly. And as far as the denim jacket, it's just one of my favorite pieces to add a youthful flare. As always loves, never forget to recognize how much God truly loves you. That love, already belongs to you, you don't have to strive for it. Don't ever forget to love yourself and love others.

love, Michelle Ana
