Chapter 26: The Man That Almost Committed Suicide

Last night this photo was circulating around social media and I just could not ignore it. I saw it again this morning and felt the need to respond and repost it. Here is what I wrote on Instagram:

"I saw this photo circulating last night, but the way it just struck my heart this morning, no words. Choose to love, choose to pray for one another, choose to remove the lens of judgmental and religious traditions to recognize that we are all here to lift each other up. Today I'm praying for those battling with suicidal thoughts .... If no one has told you today that they love you, I LOVE YOU but GOD LOVES YOU MORE!"

I had such a heavy heart when preparing to repost this image because I know their are so many human beings dealing with this, silently. I know that there is not much that I could do, but there is power in responding. My response was not only to repost and bring awareness but to speak life and pray for whomever was going to come across that post. Be intentional. After wrapping the day up with a "National Day of Prayer" worship and prayer service, I saw how God is really uniting all the different local churches, to really come together for one reason.Oh, in other news, I'm taking a vacation to DR soon and I started packing today. I am SO excited!
